Temple Wilton Farm GEO Dinner

October 1 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$89.00

The Gaia Institute is creating an agrarian based experiential educational center through the vision, passion, and dedication of Lincoln Geiger and dedicated supporters.  Lincoln has transitioned out of his role as founding farmer of the Temple Wilton Community Farm (the oldest and longest running CSA in country) and is now dedicating his life to the creation of this educational center.

Gaia Institute has acquired a 13 acre parcel of farmland directly abutting the Temple Wilton Community Farm and High Mowing and Pine Hill School and bisected by a community trail network.  Lincoln has brought sheep and goats, planted a garden, developed blacksmith and kitchen areas, and is building a teaching barn.  Debt has been taken on to get to this stage of growth and additional financial resources are needed to fully create the educational center.

GEO Institute is bringing about a long held vision that came about in the founding of the Temple Wilton Community Farm “The idea was part of our community farms vision from the very beginning in 1986. We knew that we needed to connect people and specially children with agriculture and nature. Over the years of our work at our farm we have often included children in some aspects of farming.” – Lincoln Geiger

GEO Institute needs donations to reduce the debt and ensure a sustainable future.  A fundraising goal of twenty five thousand $25,000 has been set.

A portion of the proceeds raised from the dinner will go to benefit the GEO program. This one of a kind dinner will sell out so don’t delay in getting your tickets!
